I do appreciate the silence within my mind
LET ME LEAN ON YOU
I bite my lip, silence the turbulence and fake a smile
A fake gesture can deceive the world for a short while
Torture battering my crowded head all day long
Weak from the core, yet pretending to be strong
And you say I need you to survive to hold on
[never opening up]
Yet I don’t tell the world about the pain and torment
For I appreciate my solitude, my silence, my moment
Yet the cup of endurance at some point will reach its peak
So if I drown in my tears at some point don’t force me to speak
I do value the clashes with my head, yet don’t interfere
Don’t tell me what to do, to say, how to conquer the fear
Can’t you just lend me your shoulder, your presence?
Can you just not trespass over that eternal fence?
That I have woven around my heart as a shield
Can’t you just wait for me with no word no plead
In the end I am broken, born and raised all alone
Toughened up by life taught to face the pain all my own
So don’t lead the way for I may not follow
Just go along with the current though the water is shallow
Just give me your shoulder, your warmth your understanding
Don’t watch me from past the world mocking nor commenting
And don’t feel sorry for me, for the pain has turned into a kin
Yet one word out of the way can crash my world of sin
Just be there with me, with your every heart and soul
You don’t need to plunge your pointing finger into the hole
Created by the pain that life claims its own
Just let me lean on you, no need to share the stone
No need to share the boulder for I know it will break us both
No need to be my anchor, I won’t trick you into making such an oath
Just hold my hand when it trembles, let me lean on you
Tell me everything about the world with words so few
Do you know how trapped I am, please don’t leave me now
And in case I fall to one knee due to the pain or I bow
Just watch me dance with the shadow within my mind
Yet, linger next to me, be the light that I can find
Cloaked in life and in death, yet just hold me tight
You don’t need to worry about saying what is right
Just sooth my pain with your touch
That is all what I ask from you, Not much
Just let me lean on you, be my shoulder
While I’m drafted to carry this eternal boulder
Drafted to strive
In this chaotic world we call life

Nikki :D thanks for stopping by, and for once i think this poem is really a reflection of what i was feeling back then. Maybe that's why it feels too realistic because the emotions that accompanied writing it were tangible and real :D glad you liked the poem :D

Freya, i loved the verses, are they part of an old or new poem you are working on, because they look promising. And right now i guess i need all the hugs i can get so i wouldn't mind if you hug me sis :D so how were are you? what about totty? and the family? i really wanted to write you an email to check on you but the finals got me all worked up and swamped with work :D

I give you a hug, my dear, because I need it too. A hug from my dear sister which I really grateful to have. You are right, sometimes not many words is needed to calm a heart but simply an acceptance and unconditional love. ^^
Torty still whinning because she wants wet food everytime. She against dry food and become thinner day after day. Unless she eat a little bit now. That brat! So smart in making me worry. And how's your Cats?

Freya, well the poem was simply amazing :D and yes sometimes support is all we need. Honestly speaking i have been getting support more from you and our fellow hubbers mroe than from the people i meet :D maybe unconditional love is hard to ask from most people, for me understanding would just do it.
Well i think tamashii is way gone, but there is this wild cat that we call Kira which had a litter near by. The kitten keeps coming to our garden to play and eat. She has long grey fur with brownish eyes and striped with black :D so cute. I decided to name her tiny because she is so kawaii [cute in japanese] also the male cat [ash] doesn't seem to mind her prescence :D he sometimes crushes for her the bones into tiny pieces for her to eat :D although tiny's mom (kira#2) doesnt let us touch her, i was the first to play with tiny (rub her belly carry her around, she even ate from my hand :D btw she is a wild cat :D so im glad she reminds me of tamashii :D two days ago i was playing with my bro's phone and so that he compiled an entire album with pics of tamashii and my heart sank. God i so miss that cat, he was simply different in every single aspect. Totally love him, and ill try to upload more pictures for him. Also after my exams i will write a poem in his memory :D
In deed, all what we need is blessing from Allah and guidance. May we always find ourselves on the right path.
